Description
Smart BatteryProtect
Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non-essential charges before the battery is fully discharged (which could damage the battery) or before there is insufficient charge left in the battery to turn the engine with the starter.
When using Bluetooth to program Smart BatteryProtect, you can set any required battery engagement/disengagement levels. Alternatively, the programming terminal can be used to set one of nine predefined battery engagement/disengagement levels (see manual).
The Bluetooth feature can be turned off if necessary.
Smart BatteryProtect is a one-way device. It can only handle current in one direction, so either current on load or current from a charger, but not both currents at the same time. In addition, current can only flow from the IN terminal to the OUT terminal. In case of use with a load, the battery is connected to the IN terminal, and in case of use with a charger, the charger is connected to the IN terminal.
