Description
The BMS 12/200 is a Battery Management System for Victron Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LiFePO4) Smart Batteries.
It is designed specifically for 12V systems with a 12V alternator.
The BMS 12/200 monitors and protects each individual battery cell within the battery (or battery bank) and disconnects the alternator,
charging sources or DC loads in the event of low battery voltage, high battery voltage or excessive temperature.
The special AC connection provides current limitation and one-way circulation from the alternator to the battery, so that any size alternator (and starter battery)
can be safely connected to the Smart Lithium battery or batteries.
The special load connection will disconnect loads and charge in case of low battery voltage, high battery voltage or excessive temperature.
The BMS is also equipped with an “on-off” control, to turn off the BMS (and the system) via a remote control.
